Terms of service
Last updated October 16, 2026
Mealyaar is a project of Arrivanta (sole proprietor), a business based in Chicago, Illinois (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or buying a plan you agree to these terms.
1. What you get
- A plan lets you get one meal per day (Chicago time) at any partner kitchen in your plan's group, during that kitchen's plan meal times.
- The meal is the kitchen's plan meal of the day as posted in the app. Drinks, extras and larger orders are paid separately at the kitchen.
- Partner kitchens, menus and hours may change. A kitchen may close on some days; others in the group stay available.
2. Prices, tax and payment
- Plans are $80 per week or $320 per month. Prices include sales tax.
- Card plans are charged in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each week or month until you cancel.
- Cash plans are bought at a partner kitchen for the same price and don't renew.
- We may change prices for future periods. We'll tell you at least 14 days before a price change affects your renewal.
3. Your pass is personal
- One account per person. Your pass is for you only and can't be shared, sold or transferred.
- The pass QR code changes every minute and must be shown live from your phone. Screenshots won't work.
- We may suspend or close an account that shares passes, uses several accounts to get extra meals, abuses a kitchen's staff or misuses friend credits or cash codes. If we close an account for misuse, unused time isn't refunded.
4. Refunds, pausing and cancelling
See Refunds & cancellation. In short: full refund of your first card payment within 48 hours if you haven’t eaten yet. No refund for misuse, or when one or two kitchens are closed (take your meal at another open kitchen). Cancel any time and keep eating until the period ends. Unused days don't roll over.
5. Bring a friend
When someone joins a monthly card plan with your code and eats their first meal, you each get a $20 credit on your next card payment. Credits have no cash value, can't be used on cash plans and are cancelled if the friend's first payment is refunded. We may change or end the program for future referrals.
6. Food, quality and allergies
Meals are prepared by independent partner kitchens. Each kitchen is responsible for its food: quality, taste, portions, ingredients, hygiene, food safety and any certification it holds. Mealyaar does not prepare, inspect or certify food and is not responsible for the quality of any meal. A halal or other certification shown on a kitchen's page belongs to that kitchen and is shown for information only. Mealyaar can't guarantee a meal is free of any allergen. If you have an allergy or a dietary requirement, ask the kitchen before you eat.
7. Limits
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under Illinois consumer law that can't be waived.
8. Our discretion
- We may change, pause or discontinue any plan, kitchen, group, meal time or feature. A kitchen closing doesn't change your price.
- We may cancel a plan at our sole discretion, for example if a kitchen closes, a plan is misused, or we have to stop the service. If we cancel for a reason other than your misuse, we'll refund the unused paid time.
- We may decline, suspend or close any account, subject to Illinois law.
- Suggestions you send us, such as new kitchens or feedback, may be used to improve Mealyaar without payment to you.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we'll notify members of important changes. These terms are governed by Illinois law. Questions: tausif@arrivanta.com.
